Giving & Getting Involved

You have the power to make a difference in the life of a child or adult with disabilities and their family by making a contribution.  There are so many ways you can give back, such as volunteer, make a personal gift, or have your company sponsor an event.  Your contribution will ensure that Easter Seals UCP can meet the growing demand for our programs in the years to come and allow us to provide the highest quality services to individuals with disabilities and their families.

Volunteering

Volunteering is more than giving your time; you are giving your talents to help transform the lives of people with disabilities. With our various programs, services and events, you should find a volunteer opportunity that interests you and utilizes your special talents, and allows you to give back to your community in a way that is meaningful to you.

Donations

  • Annual Gifts

    Annual gifts can be one-time or multiple gifts through the year; gift types include outright gifts of cash, credit card deductions, stock donations, matching gifts, participating in special events, and various cause-marketing campaigns with corporate partners.

  • Small Miracles Society

    Easter Seals UCP’s Small Miracles Society is honored to recognize the distinguished donors who make multi-year leadership pledges totaling $5,000 or more in conjunction with our Small Miracles Tours.

  • Horizons Foundation

    The Easter Seals UCP Horizons Foundation provides individuals, corporations, and foundations with a wonderful vehicle through which they can make gifts that will help sustain Easter Seals UCP programs and services long into the future.

  • Wills, Trusts and Gift Annuities

    Planned giving involves integrating a donor’s charitable gift into his/her overall financial, tax and estate planning objectives to maximize benefits to the donor while helping Easter Seals UCP.  A gift annuity makes it possible for you to contribute to Easter Seals UCP while receiving a guaranteed income and tax savings in return.

  • The Presidents’ Council

    Easter Seals UCP’s premiere recognition club, the Presidents’ Council is compromised of friends who share the belief that everyone with a disability or special need deserves access to quality, comprehensive and compassionate programs and services.

  • Cause Marketing

    At Easter Seals UCP, we define cause marketing as a partnership between us and our for-profit partners with mutual profit.  Our goal is to drive new business to your company while also raising funds and awareness for the many programs at Easter Seals UCP North Carolina & Virginia.

Many companies want to give back to their community. Easter Seals UCP appreciates that and offers many different ways for companies and their employees to get involved.

Vehicle Donations

Donate your used car, truck, SUV, van, boat with a trailer or recreational vehicle and help support children and adults managing disabilities or mental health challenges in North Carolina & Virginia. Benefits include free towing and an IRS tax deduction.

You'll need the following info to get started:

  1. Title & Lien Release in hand

  2. Year, make, model and general condition of vehicle
