Community Support Team

General Info

The community support team is a community mental health service that assists adults in developing coping skills, improving self-monitoring of symptoms and behaviors, and enhancing independence in daily activities.  Our team works in both one-on-one situations and family-based interventions.

Professional Info

Community Support consists of mental health and substance abuse rehabilitation services and interventions necessary for the individual to achieve rehabilitative, sobriety, and recovery goals.  Community Support services, are community-based, rehabilitative in nature, and intended to meet the mental health or substance abuse needs of adults who have significant identified symptoms that seriously interfere with or impede their roles or functioning in family, school, employment, or community.  For a complete service definition including entrance criteria please go to: http://www.ncdhhs.gov/dma/mp/8A.pdf
